Prompt Response: Drafting is essential to list out the ideas that you will write about without a final version. In previous essays it has helped me identify strong points to talk about on my body paragraphs. It has even helped me create a strong thesis statement which revealed a weakness I wouldn't know if I didn't draft.

  Prompt Response:  Watching my mom deal with the loss of her older family members was a difficult but necessary wake-up call that life is fragile and temporary.   Prompt Response:   My teacher once unexpectedly shared a story about her father dying from stage 4 cancer, and it really stayed with me. Hearing it made me feel deeply sad, not only because of the loss itself but because I could sense how much it must have hurt her. I remember wondering how she managed to carry that pain while still showing up for us with patience, strength, and encouragement every day. Her ability to keep moving forward and still support her students showed me what resilience and dedication truly look like. Summary:  Today in class we continued reading The Color Purple and answering questions on Writable. Reflection:  I got better reading comprehension and analysis skills.

That encouragement has stayed with me, and I still carry her message of always striving to do my best today.
