 Prompt Response: The most challenging part of writing an essay for me is creating a strong thesis statement. I often know what I want to say, but I struggle to clearly summarize my main idea in one focused sentence. To overcome this, I plan to spend more time outlining my ideas and asking myself what message I want the reader to remember most. By revising my thesis after drafting the essay, I can make sure it clearly reflects my argument and purpose.

Prompt: Write about a truth you were afraid to accept.

  Prompt Response:  Watching my mom deal with the loss of her older family members was a difficult but necessary wake-up call that life is fragile and temporary. It forced me to finally face a fear I'd carried since childhood: that my time with my grandparents and older relatives is limited. Now, instead of avoiding that difficult truth, I use it to make sure I never take a single moment for granted when we are together.
